Terms of Service
These terms apply whenever you use WrenchPath. By using the service you accept them. WrenchPath is currently in private beta.
Draft notice
This document is a beta-stage draft describing how the service works today. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It should receive professional legal review before any full commercial launch.
What WrenchPath is
WrenchPath is an informational automotive platform. It helps you describe what your vehicle is doing and returns AI-generated preliminary information about what might be involved, so you can have a better-informed conversation with a repair professional.
Assessments are preliminary and may be wrong
WrenchPath does not inspect your vehicle. Assessments are generated by an AI model from the text you provide and general automotive knowledge. They may be incomplete, outdated or simply incorrect. WrenchPath does not provide a professional mechanical diagnosis and is not a substitute for one.
You are responsible for obtaining a professional inspection when appropriate — and always before relying on any assessment to decide whether to drive, repair or sell a vehicle.
No safety guarantee
WrenchPath never guarantees that a vehicle is safe to drive. Safety-related warnings shown in the app are conservative prompts to seek professional help, not clearance to continue driving. If you have any doubt about a vehicle's safety, stop driving it and have it inspected.
Repair pricing is approximate
Any cost figure shown is an approximate range based on general automotive pricing knowledge. It is not a quote, not live local pricing, and no repair shop has quoted it. Actual costs vary by region, vehicle, parts availability and what an inspection finds.
Repair shops are independent businesses
Repair shops listed on or matched through WrenchPath are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents or partners of WrenchPath in any legal sense. WrenchPath does not supervise, inspect, certify or control their work.
WrenchPath does not guarantee a shop's workmanship, qualifications, availability, response time, pricing, or the outcome of any repair. Any agreement you reach with a shop is between you and that shop. Disputes about work performed must be resolved with the shop directly.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information — particularly the vehicle details and contact information passed to a repair shop. Do not create an account for anyone else or submit another person's contact details.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, spam or automated requests to repair shops.
- Use scripts, scrapers or automation against the service or its endpoints.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, authentication or access controls.
- Attempt to access another user's or another shop's data.
- Submit unlawful, abusive or deliberately misleading content.
- Resell or redistribute WrenchPath assessments as your own diagnostic product.
WrenchPath applies usage limits to protect the service. Accounts that abuse the service may be suspended without notice.
Beta limitations
WrenchPath is a private beta. Features may change or be withdrawn, coverage is limited, data may be reset, and availability is not guaranteed. Do not rely on WrenchPath as your only record of vehicle history.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WrenchPath is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for vehicle damage, repair costs, lost time, personal injury or other loss arising from reliance on an assessment, from a repair shop's work, or from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and termination
These terms may change during the beta; the current version always appears on this page, and continued use means you accept it. You may stop using WrenchPath and delete your account at any time. WrenchPath may suspend or end access to the service, or to any account, where these terms are breached or where the service is discontinued.
